Hexen House

The last event of the year! Christmas is just around the corner! The city is decorated with Christmas trees and illuminations.

I made a Hexen House to make the Christmas even more exciting. “Hexen House” is the German word for “Witch’s House”, which is the witch’s house and candy house in the Grimm fairy tale Hansel and Gretel.

This time I used a kit which I have to make from the dough

You need to make a dough for cookies first, then apply the pattern of the house to the dough then cut out the parts with a knife.

Place an oven sheet on the baking tray, then line up bake them in an oven at 170 ° C for 12 minutes.

Here are all the baked parts. They are for 4 baking trays. I kneaded cocoa powder into the brown ones and green tea into the green ones.  Difficult bit of the process was cutting small parts because it required delicate movement of the fingers.

I used icing as a bonding to assemble the parts.

The candy house is complete!!! I decorated the house as Christmasish.

These lovely figures are Arashi version of Cop No Fuchiko San. Jun Matsumoto is the coolest boy in the light pink suit with thick eyebrows. Now you’re ready for Christmas ☆☆ All you have to do is wait for Santa to come..
